After high school I went ot JCU and completed a BSc in Chemistry and Biochemistry.
I went to Kidston Gold Mine on the holidays in second year and decided Mining was for me. I finished my degree and started
work 1 week later in Charters Towers.
During the next 12 months I met Steve and we have been together since.
I went to work at Mt Leyshon Gold Mine for the next 9 years. During that time I finished my Extractive Metallurgy and
in 1996 Steve and I got married.
We have two children Jacob (7) and Amelia (5).
Steve is a Carpenter
and we had our own business for 9 years after we left Mt Leyshon. I returned to work last year after an offer was made
that was too good to refuse.
Jacob is in Grade 2 and Amelia goes to PreSchool so I returned to the Mining Industry,
and I love it.
Life is great!!!!
